Message from Lake Area Middle School:

"The seventh and eigth grade students at Lake Area Middle School in New Orleans, Louisiana are eager to get invloved in One World Youth Project.  We are particularly pleased to have the opportunity to exchange culture and communication with students in Mongolia.  We are reading about Mongolia in back issues of National Geographic magazine. We are beginning to appreciate the uniqueness of cultures around the world.  New Orleans is often thought of as a unique city as well. The French Quarter is known world wide for its food, music and architecture. Many visitors from foreign countries enjoy the charms of New Orleans.  However,  our climate is hot and humid for almost 10 months per year. The risk of a devastaing hurricane is high each summer season.  We are looking forward to sharing our culture and we want to learn about students from around the globe."

                                                      Sincerely,

                                                      Lake Area Middle School
