Pie-Chart Activity

Create a pie-chart of your daily activities.

  • Start by making a list of things you do every day.
  • For five days record the approximate amount of time you spend on each of your listed activities.
  • At the end of the five days, average those the time-periods together for each category. For instance, if my category was getting ready for school and I spent 15 minutes on day 1 getting ready, 25 min. on day 2, 20 min. on day 3, 10 min. on day 4, and 15 min. on day 5…I would add these time lengths together and divide by 5.

15+25+20+10+15= 85

85/5 = 17 … meaning that on average I spend 17 minutes getting ready for school each day

  • Ask your teacher or adult mentor to help you divide up your circular pie-chart into the accurately-sized sections (approximately).
