Oak Meadow Montessori Middle School is a small, private middle school in Littleton, Massachusetts. There are currently twenty-four students in grades six through eight, with ages ranging from ten to fourteen. Montessori schools are based on the pedagogy of Maria Montessori.
Some of Montessori's ideas are that children should learn through experience, that they should have freedom to choose their work, that peace education is vital to the future of the world, and that children should undertake meaningful work. The school is in session from early September to the beginning of June.
