One World USA Youth Summit! (2006) March 29th- April 1st Washington D.C. 19 U.S. One World Youth Project students from four states came together for four intense days of workshops, meetings and lobbying on Capitol Hill regarding the importance of the UN Millennium Development Goals.

Thanks to the generous donation of soccer balls and uniforms by BUTLER SPORTING GOODS of Hyannis, Massachusetts They are now able to compete in the soccer tournaments organized at the camp. September One World Youth Project was represented by several Project Ambassadors at the United Nations International Day of Peace Celebration held on September 21, 2005 at UN Headquarters. August On August 4, 2005 One World Youth Project Ambassadors from Morocco, India, and the USA presented the compiled book of youth declarations: Voices from Around the World to the 2nd annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations Congratulations to all the youth who worked hard writing their declarations! To read more about the Project Ambassadors click here ============== July A student representative from Club Scientifique of Sale, Morocco is currently spending a week with students at her sister-school, the Northern Lights School in Oakland, California. June One World Youth Project participants visit their sister-schools!! A group of 13 students and teachers from "The Green Team" of Sandy Spring, MD will be spending 2 weeks in their sister community of Yelapa, Mexico working on service projects in collaboration with their Mexican student counterparts . A teacher from the Dr. Herman Wrice Youth Empowerment Village Community Center of Tanzania will visit the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School in Massachusetts. April
On April 26th, One World Youth Project participants from Virginia and Massachusetts presented their views and work on United Nations Millennium Development Goal 2 at the Global Campaign for Education's Congressional Reception in Washington D.C. They spoke eloquently on the need for universal primary education and their own experiences about the importance of education. The two groups of students also had the opportunity to spend several days getting to know each other and visiting Washington D.C. landmarks and museums. March Students at the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School in Massachusetts received their Cultural Exchange Package from their sister-school in Tanzania!
