Who: One World Youth Project Group of Addis Ababa
Where:
Addis Ababa , Ethiopia
The OWYP group in Ethiopia started with 21 members, all from Selam Children's Village High School. This group was led by two group mentors and one teacher. For the last two years, the team in Ethiopia was working on Cultural exchange and UN MDG's. As a group of 21 the group did great and made plans of how to make the year interesting and fun. But due to political instability that occurred in the country the group couldn't function well in the past year because schools were closed for most of the school time we should have had.
Several members of the group were able to attend the One World Africa Youth Summit in Ghana during the summer of 2007. more info
Now directed by OWYP Project Ambassador, Eyoel Asfaw, the One World Youth Project club of Addis Ababa looks forward to an exciting and productive 2007/2008 Project year!
