Reflections on Thembi Ngubane's story from the curriculum:
Olivia say's "This is amazing how she can get through living like this and be so positive. Her life doesn't seem that effected by it. Some parts of the story seemed a bit confusing, but it made sense in the end."
Nolan say's "I thought the story about aids was very touching, and at least she looks for the positive side. I wish that aids was not going to be in South Africa so much, but I loved how she said that to stop aids in her mind. I also loved that the writing was positive".
Sarah say's "I very much much liked this story and it hurts me to see that there are girls 6that young getting infected with aids and i hope that she finds a way to get through this.
Ally say's "This story was very inspiring because the girl always prayed about how she wasn't going to let the HIV hurt her if she wouldn't hut it. She always kept a positive attitude, even when she knows she is at a risk of dying."
Dylan say's "she is so happy and bubbly even with the circumstances. But she is living life to the fullest and as if she didn't have aids.
Marisa say's "I was so touched by her boyfreinds response to her infecting him. Also it was amazing that their only concern was about not dying together!"
