Women are very important in our society today. Their efforts, hard works and contributions they have made insocieties should be recognised. Likewise other should be indentified an dpraised. One may ask what is meant by "Women Empowerment"?
Is it to engage women in challenging exercise such as lifting of heavy duties or objects in order to build up their muscles an dbodies? Not as such, but rather to educate and teach them a vocation that will imporve their skills and talents towards their goals. Although women are considered low achievers but education will enchance their success into their own hands. All they need is encouragement and support. Not just education but a higher education that will help gain admission of qualified and higher positions in societies such as ministerial positions and much more. Men are to support women in their endeavors so that they can strike more on what they are doing. As being supportive will encourage them more to be determined and serious and their determination is going to assist them to achieve their aims and produce effectively for nation development such as our Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia who has struggled so hard to reach where she is now. Her experience and determination can be an example for all women to follow. She is a role model for every woman of today. Empowering women with all these abilities will prevent them from involving in social vices such as being a prostitute and even doing sex as a trade that are not of societies expectations thus bringing disgrace. As the saying goes if you teach a man, you teach only a person but, if you teach women, you teach the whole nation. So let us put on the attitude of women.

1.What role does gender play in your Community? Do you fell women and men have equal Rights in your Community? Why or Why not?
The Role which gender play in our community is just two different things which are in the same Environment which is full of Discrimination and Oppress to the Female Gender.
Female and Male Gender have no equal Rights in Our Community Because people do consider that women are the weak gender than Male gender, so there is no equality its just the Discrimination for Women and Oppress between this Community for Women.
2.If you’re the Female ,do you feel empowered ?How do you think other Women in your Community feel about the gender equality ,Discriminati
on and Empowerment?
Yes we feel Empowered, they real like gender equality and hate the Discrimination but they have not yet Empowered that’s why they are still looking for the place where they could get anybody to hear their cries and help to Solve their Problems in Different Sector.
3.Do Females in your Community have equal access to education and employment? Explain.
No ,Females have no equal access in our community in Education and Employment due to many educational Institution have more Male gender than Females as women been treated as the gender for working with the Kitchen works. So this brings more discrimation as also some of the Traditions do Negligating Girls Education.
And in the Employment Sector Women do face many Problems such as Sexual Harrasment, so that they can get job increased the Salary etc…….
We can say with our Voice that there is No
Equality at All……

What role does gender pay in your community? Do you feel women and men have equal rights in your community? Why or why not?
Answer:
No, in our community men have more rights than women there are certain jobs that are reserved only for men this includes high positions in the society there is no women Governor who heads an of the ten provinces in Cameroon. There are some house works like washing dishes, cooking just to name a few that are reserved only for the girl child.
In our province the girl child is prepared only for marriage.
If you are female, do you feel empowered? How do you think other women in your community feel about gender equality, discrimination and empowerment?
Answer:
Yes but to a lesser extend. In our community women feel cheated they want to be like the men who have high post of responsibility both in the house and in offices. Very few women are decision makers in our community so most decisions do not favors women
Do females in your community have equal access to education and empowerment? Explain
Answer:
Yes the government has given equal access to both boys and girls but in some parts of the country the female child is prepared only for marriage and child bearing, Some organizations even offer to pay fees for the girls but parents refuse to send their girls to school. In some families if a woman does no have a male child there will be many problems which can led to divorce

Look at the answers to your questions above .Based on your responses, do you feel as though gender equality and women empowerment is any issue that should be addressed in your community? Why or Why not?
Answer:
Yes this issue most be addressed in our community because parents and the decision makers in this community have to be sensitized that men and women must be treated equally, they should go to school, have post of responsibilities and rule the country also. This will make men to see that women have some talents that are very good. In our school now the girls are working better than the boys.

How could you help achieve UN MDG 3? If you feel gender equality and women’s empowerment is an issue in your community, what could you do to help? Or what could you do locally to help empower women globally
Answer:
I will sensitize the people in our community on the importance of sending the girl child to school .Encourage girls who are in school to work harder, encourage women who have some position to work harder and to maker sure that they fight for the empowerment of women in our community .
Can you think of a project you and your peers might be able to design and implement in your community in order to help reach Goal 3?
Answer:
In our community today the women are not empowered because of lack of jobs, hey need to sell their rights to men who are workers who have high positions in the society and therefore they have money. If the women can be given jobs that can do, have money and take care of themselves and their children I think that they will be empowered more they will be able to send their girl child to school. I think that if we can contact any recycling industry be it paper, metal or plastic recycling industry we will be happy to invited the industry to be implanted in our town, the children in our organization will provide the raw material i.e. papers or metals or plastic .The women in our community can then work in these industries and sell the finished product. This is because there is no recycling industry in our community .This will be something new that has been started in our society by women. This will also help to keep our Environment clean as these materials pollute the environment.
