Who: Network of African Youths for Development (NAYD)

Where: Monrovia, Liberia

 

NAYD-Liberia is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that creates mutual oppotunities for Liberian youths through sustainable development and involving young people into this African network to preach the message of peace, human rights, HIV/AIDS, UN Millennium Development Goals, and all otther positive social values. NAYD-Liberia has committed and vibrant leadership structure with capable young people embarking on yout led programs.

 

Our programs are youth-led.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Ø   Children Literacy Program in urban and rural communities

Ø   Scholarship program for junior and high school students

Ø   Girl’s empowerment programs

Ø   Youth leadership workshop

 

PEACE BUILDING:

 

Ø   Peace building and conflict resolution workshop

Ø   Security and human development workshop                                NAYD Liberia Staff

Ø   Non-violence and reconciliation workshop

 

GENERAL AWARENESS:

 

Ø   HIV/AIDS awareness in schools, communities, etc.

Ø   Sexual exploitation and abuse campaign

Ø   Awareness on UN MDGs into primary & secondary schools, communities, etc.

Ø   Workshop on Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of Child
