Who: Jenks High School

Where: Jenks, Oklahoma, United States

 

Jenks High School is an extemely academic driven school. Jenks also highly supports student involvemnet in sports and clubs. The High School consists of 9th through 12th graders. The 11th grade English classes study World Literature. The students are not only expected to further their English skills but also to learn about the cultures and communities involved in World Literature.

 

Jenks, Oklahoma is a small town on the outskirts of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jenks consists of about 40,000 people, most of which are upper class white families. Although the immediate surrounding area is considered lower to middle class, the other ninety-percent of Jenks is very upper class. The town of Jenks is very supportive of their High School athletic teams. Students from Tulsa are not allowed to be bussed into Jenks. The only students allowed to attend Jenks are those who live within the town borders.
