The students in Yelapa do not have ready access to the internet, therefore they have been corresponding with their sister-school group in Sandy Spring, Maryland by post.  Below are some samples:

Translation by the Green Team of Sandy Spring, Maryland:

Hello. I am Gabriela G. I am 14 years old and live in the paradise city of Yelapa. I like to sing, dance, play soccer, and have friends. I am a very animated and happy person although sometimes to the point where it is annoying. Physically, I am of short stature, a brunette, I like my eyes and eye lashes, and my hair is long and curly. I would like to invite my friends in the United States to my beautiful town. Goodbye, I hope that all of you come visit here.
